For those who wants to make that "kitesurf trip" or just enjoy some days of extreme sailing, Canoa Quebrada has an excelent natural condition for practising this sport. It can be chosen either open sea with half meter waves average on Canoa Beach or glassy and shallow water over a sand bank at a secret spot called "Barra" distant 12 k's going north on the beach. It's worth to check the spot with a very pleasurable trip to where Jaguaribe river encounters the Atlantic Ocean.
The main attractives for the brazilian and foreign kitesurfers that come to Canoa are the cross-shore & cross-onshore winds varying 20 to 30 knots from july to december (annual rate about 15 knots), water temperature at 27ºC the whole year and a wide sand strip that favors all levels of kiters.
